Exploring The Differences Between Chinese And American Disaster News Photography

Disaster is closely related to human survival and development, news photography as a tool of disaster information dissemination, could break through the barriers of languages, make people of different ethnic and different nationalities can be shared. The disaster photojournalism is all important category of news photography.It is a way of recording human ways of existence and development and a form of news photography reportage.It has the characteristics of recording, alarming,praising human and attacking sins,and maximized the record of real situation of the disaster.China and America have many differences on disaster photojoumalism.The differences are due to their different way of history culture and some specific reasons.In view of world's important position and the historical mission of "China News Award" and "America Pulitzer prize", the paper attempts to interpret of these two photojournalism competition.1990—2014 disaster news photography winning entries of the two major news events as a sample,based on the reference information,combined the practical experience of my owe,these photography is analyzed from the different angles.Contrast,analysis and comparison try to find theirdifferences and gaps,explore the causes of the difference of economic, cultural, political and other factors, wants to give some advice on the development of China photojoumalism.Last,I hope by writing this paper I can strive in the form and content of Chinese news disaster photojournalism breakthrough.
