This article focused on presenting the author's growth as an intern sandplay therapist. In doing so, the author adopted the action research method by acting as a sandplay therapist in an elementary school of Nanjing.As a sandplay therapist, the author wrote down the five clients' behaviors and changes in therapy process objectively. Then, according to the timeline visited by the clients, the growth was divided into three stages, which included the elementary exploration stage, the continued experience stage and the harvest stage. Each stage was unfolded through three aspects, included building counseling relationship, working under counseling relationship, ending the sandplay process and the effectiveness assessment.After one year growth in action, the therapist can build harmonious and stable relationship with the clients. The therapist can acutely perceive the detail traits, the emotional expression and the behavior changes about the clients. The therapist becomes considerate and efficient on the ending of sandplay process, and the therapist not only can assess the effectiveness according to the flowing sandplay pictures, but also can initially experience each single sandplay image.Finally, based on the growth course of action, the author made some thoughts and summaries on how to build counseling relationship, how to work under the counseling relationship, how to end an sandplay process and how to assess the sandplay effectiveness.
