Scholars of Joseon Dynasty began to look forward to and had full of fantasy towards Jiangnan of China from the Tang Dynasty. Therefore, many creation centered in Jiangnan without the experience of visiting it. In Joseon Dynasty, visiting Jiangnan is a rare and admirable experience for those writers. Cui Pu, Li Bangyi, Cui Doucan...they used writtings to tell their experience, which riched in cultural works. After they experienced the war of Imjinwaeran, there were many works left. Lu Ren was the only one who had the experience of visiting Jiangnan of those scholars. And those drifting experience riched in overseas experience in "Yan journey".This paper focuses on four authors' travel recording to understand the image of Jiangnan in their works. Through the study on the cultural communications between Joseon Dynasty and the Ming and Qing Dynasty, this paper aims to understand the inside of those scholars. Firstly, through the expression of the image of Jiangnan, this paper try to analyze their impression on Jiangnan. Secondly, this paper aims to analyze the image of Jiangnan in the Ming and Qing Dynasty to find out the cultural fusion and collision between Joseon and China in those four works. Finally, this paper try to discuss the inside of those scholars through their writtings to understand the image of China, the social changes, cultural communications between Joseon and China. So, this paper is helpful to grasp the social and economic development of Jiangnan area in the Ming and Qing Dynasty, China's influences on Joseon, and cultural communications.
