As one of the representative of the 20th Century Modern Neo Confucian scholars, Xiong Shili experienced the thinking process from attacking the Buddhist Idealism to learning the Vijnapti-matrata, then deeply agree with Kegon, and ultimately achieve the assimilation between Confucianism and Buddhism. Scholars mostly focus on relationgship between Xiong Shili and Consciousness-only School, or just further analysis Xiong Shili absorbing and refuting of Madhyamika and Mahayana. This article seeks from the perspective of the modern relationship between Confucianism and Buddhism start exploring Xiong Shili made assimilation with Huayan Sect in the process of building his ideology.Xiong Shili ideology construction is beginning to denounce old vijnaptimatrata.
