| New Chinese abbreviations is an important part of Chinese vocabulary system. In recent years, with the development of the society, the pace of life are speeding up and the communication between different cultures are widening, all of this resulting in a large number of abbreviations. This paper named thumbnail words "the new abbreviations" because the factors and formations of the new abbreviations which are generating in 21st century is very different from the traditional ones. The object of this paper is produced from 2012 to 2014, the new abbreviations of this three years have enough materials for research. New Chinese abbreviations found in all corners of life and holds a large proportion in new words.The purpose of this paper is to research the new Chinese abbreviations nearly three years and put forward some views on standardization, so it's have guidance and specifications for the new Chinese abbreviations occur in the future.The full text is divided into five chapters:Chapterl, introduction. In this chapter mainly state the reason for why selected this topic, the research significance, research methods and the sources of corpus. This paper adopts the methods of synchronic and diachronic study to comparison and analysis the new Chinese abbreviations in horizontal and vertical; To classification and statistics the new Chinese abbreviations in the method of combination qualitative and quantitative; Analyze its name and definition in the method of combining the theoretical research and applied research, and put forward some constructive suggestions in how to use the new Chinese abbreviations in a normalized way. The new Chinese abbreviations in this paper are coming from the extraction of new words by category, corpus from BCC corpus, major news site and weibo.Chapter2, the definition and classification of the new Chinese abbreviations. This chapter mainly through analysis of the history and status quo of the new Chinese abbreviations and study status of the new words, thus to definitions and name the new Chinese abbreviations, and according to the new Chinese abbreviations reflects the new characteristics and the way of using abbreviations on the sorting of the system. This article divided the new Chinese abbreviations into three categories:traditional forms of abbreviate, new forms of abbreviate and special abbreviate:letter words. Traditional forms of abbreviate includes:condensation, being cut slightly, the number and level thumbnail; New forms of abbreviate includes:metaphor thumbnail tied for phrases, sentences thumbnail, thumbnail, imitation.Chapter3, the factors, characteristics and impact of the new Chinese abbreviations. The reason of the new Chinese abbreviations appearance mainly include:language factors, psychological factors and social factors. This paper statistical analysis the new Chinese abbreviations from 2012 years to 2014 years, summarized its characteristics from four aspects:the way to abbreviate, the length of the words, categories and semantics. Through the research results, we can further analysis the influence in Chinese vocabulary system and Chinese teaching.Chapter4, the principle of the structure of the the new Chinese abbreviations and standardized application. This chapter mainly analyzes the relationship between the new Chinese abbreviations and the original words, summarizes two principles:the principle of difference and customs. This paper analyzes the phenomenon of non-standard use the new Chinese abbreviations and puts forward some advice on standardization from two aspects:written using and cultural contexts, especially for the standardization of the letter abbreviation problems.Chapter5, The development prospect of the new Chinese abbreviations. This chapter is a summary of the paper, summarized three development trends in the new Chinese abbreviations through the research results above the paper, and reflect on the shortcomings of the process of researching the study and determine the direction of the work in the future. |
