Explore The Methods Of Creating Dance For The Hearing Impaired

Hearing impairment or hearing loss is one of the five types of physical disabilities.Despite their inability,hearing impaired people have the same desire for life,arts and bright future as other people do.With the economy,technology,education and culture developing fast,the physically challenged are treated much better by the society in terms of behavior and attitude,but it should not be neglected that there is far less than enough importance attached to the arts of physically challenged and they have less access to public culture and arts,not to mention the literature on the arts of physically challenged.This thesis leads to a theoretical summary of the ways of choreography of dancing of hearing impaired people(also known as deaf people dancing)and offers practical reference for the choreography through materials reviewing,interviews and practices.This thesis is divided into three parts.The first part introduces the characteristics of hearing impaired dancing performers by thinking pattern,learning features,body memory,performance mentality and emotion expression.The second part expounds the theoretical basis for the choreography while the third comes to the reflection on choreography,which includes identifying the rules,discussing the ways and articulate the ways of choreography that are based on characteristics of hearing impaired people and eventually drawing a practice summary.
