Wang Wei's Poetry Studies The Seclusion Class

Wang Wei is one of the most famous poets in Tang dynasty,who is known as “poem Buddha”.The article takes the hermit allusions in Wang Wei's poems as research objects.By tracing the hermit allusions used in Wang Wei's works seriously,the article tries to study the characteristics of it and make in-depth research of Wang Wei's hermit thoughts.The article consists of introduction and four chapters.The introduction part mainly discusses the reasons and significance of choosing this topic,summarizing the research status of hermit allusions in Wang's poems,explaining what is“allusion” as a rhetorical device,defining the inclusion criteria of those allusions and getting the hermit allusions sorted out in accordance with the classification methods of Si Ku Quan Shu which has Confucian classics,history,philosophy and belles-letters.The first chapter investigates the story quotations in the hermit allusions used in Wang's poetry.The hermits involved in the story quotations can be divided into three types.The first are who love the nature from the inside and never have the idea to serve as an official.The second are who become a hermit to avoid being hurt by the political situation.The third are who regard reclusion as a political strategy to wait for opportunities.By meas of studying those hermit types,the article can define which type conforms to Wang Wei's situation in different periods.The second chapter analyzes the language allusions,which consists of the switch expression of The Book Of Songs and Lisao,the language quotations in history books as well as the language quotations used in previous poetry.It introduces Wang's inheritance and development of previous poetry,the structure of his works and the artistic origin of his poems.The third chapter investigates the reciprocal verification of the allusions and Wang's hermit thoughts which includes Confucianism,Taoism and the Buddhist thought so as to study Wang's moral trend in different periods from the allusion perspective and introduce how the three thoughts influence Wang's life pattern half involved in politics and half immersed in seclusion.The fourth chapter analyzes the characteristic of the hermit allusions used in Wang's poetry from the perspective of technique which combines the obvious reference with the obscure reference and combines the positive reference with the negative reference,and the form of allusion which includes story quotation and language quotation.Allusion is a new perspective to analyze the development of Wang's hermit thought and the structure of knowledge involved in Wang's poetry,which means a lot to the study on Wang Wei.
