Family Life Study Of Civilian Women In The Han Dynasty

The period of two Han dynasty is the founding time of the feudal society in China,when the rulers created the strong central government.Through the development and prosperity of the feudal economy,Confucian orthodoxy is identified as the feudal rule.Then it influences society in all aspects.Because of the progressive influence of Confucian ethic and the thought in Pre-Qin period,social environment is also a little open.Women are not fettered by feudal ceremony.In fact,they are independent to a certain extent in their family life.The article studies the common women's daily life in Han dynasty by their daily life.First of all,the article studies the common women's role exchange among family and relative power in their different life period.We make a investigation in the treatment at the time of birth,the identity and status in the family,the right to education,the prosperity right and other aspects of the common women before and after their marriage.Secondly,the article discusses the marital status of common women in Han dynasty.We research it mainly from three aspects in the female perspective: the marriage selection,the universality of divorce and remarry,the gradual change of the notion of virginity.Then we analyze the reasons why the divorce and remarry are general to some degree.Thirdly,the article studies the common women's activities in family,economy and society in Han dynasty.On the one hand,we analyze the content of their family work such as cooking,needlework,educating children and looking after the relative.On other hand,we analyze their situation of the economic activities including agriculture,handicraft,business and other industry.In addition,we also study their social activities in their daily life.Lastly,the article states the family relationship of common women in Han dynasty.It mainly analyzes the differences of married women's interpersonal relationship between their husband's family and their own family.Furthermore,the features of different relationship are also pointed out.
