There is a long history for Sino-German cultural exchanges from the missionary Johann Adam to China in the 16 th century to the famous Sinologist Gu Bin in the 21 st century.Sino-German cultural exchange had achieved fruitful results in the 19 th century,in which the German missionary made efforts to widely disseminate the German culture in China,promoting China’s modernization in education,military and other areas.Meanwhile,the German sinologists had made outstanding achievements in the study of Sinology so that German people had a lot of understanding of China.Based on the study of the cultural exchange between China and Germany in the 19 th century,the paper can promote people’s understanding of the importance of cultural communication and improving the culture competitiveness in our country.
