The Cultural Analysis Of The Miao TiaoXiang Fete Ceremony In Wa Town Of XiangXi

There is rich and colorful intangible cultural heritage in XiangXi. XiangXI is ofthe rich cultural resource in Hunan Province,.All kinds of intangible culturalheritage projects are more than three thousand two hundred. Twenty four of them havealso been brought into the national intangible cultural heritage.Fifty of themhave been brought into provincial intangible cultural heritage.There are18nationalInheritance people and44provincial Inheritance people.In a large-scale saving,protective and deep level research, this paper is just a case which study TiaoXiang. I ammeat to do some further research on understanding and studying XiangXi Miao folkculture in the future. At the same time it provides reference for TiaoXiang to spreadabroad and graft industry and culture under the grand background of cultural industrydevelopment.TiaoXiang is a grand religious sacrificial activity which Miao people in XiangXihold every year,In this paper I did the fieldwork mostly in"Liang Pai Po",Ba Jiao PingVillage, Liang Jia Tan Town,Luxi County, Xiangxi Tujia and Miao AutonomousPrefecture.I understand Miao’s TiaoXiang ceremony in LuXi through field surveyintegrally, systematically and wholly, especially many interviews and surveys ofTiaoXiang palace headman and religious leader in LiangPaipo.I did some research onthe origin, development,transmission and other aspects of national TiaoXiang inLuXi to make its "culture" analysis based on the enough first-hand field data and therelated theories of National Anthropology, as well as the former achievement.This paper consists of four parts.The first chapter is introduction. It introduces theresearch background, significance and value of TiaoXiang. The important points as theresearch object in the dialogue are to review the previous research of TiaoXiang and analyzeits academic value to form academic basis and the expansion of the study. The second chapteris the summary of TiaoXiang ceremony.From "Liang Pai Po" field work,I introduce thedistribution of Miao TiaoXiang in LuXi in a round.And I conduct a comprehensive researchon its origin, historical evolution and other aspects from National Anthropology angle. In thethird chapter we inspect the process of TiaoXiang in details based on field data. I recordsacrifice, the altar, dress, dance, singing words, performance process etc systematically. Ishow the basic connotation and characteristics of TiaoXiang in LuXi from its preparation andperformance. The fourth chapter focuses on the cultural characteristics which TiaoXiangceremony reflected. In this paper, I mainly discuss and analyze three aspects----the way oflife, religious culture and art culture.
