| New Age Music is an emerging music school rising in 1970s.Different from other music styles,the New Age Music is difficult to be defined directly from the instrument and style.It tends to be a kind of music mixing the features of other schools,and beneficial for relaxation,decompression,meditation and inspiration stimulation.Considering the fuzzy definition of New Age Music,the author looks up the existing literatures at home and abroad,tries to explore the characteristics of New Age Music based on the analysis of actual works,and discuss its common characteristics:namely,the music creative idea that mixes various music styles together,manufactures the styles with innovative and electronic sound processing mode and integrates the "fusion" and "creation".In the second part,the thesis elaborates the creation process of the original work Language of 'She Nationality.Based on the She Nationality,a minority nationality in China,the work is guided by the creation theory that "New Age Music integrates the fusion and creation":as to the melody,the unique Zhejiang and Fujian mode in the southwestern area of Zhejiang Province is mainly adopted;as to the harmony,the harmonic progression mode of popular and jazz is mainly used.It also fuses the national,popular and jazz style together by referring to the harmony orchestration,such as the continuous structure of popular jazz harmony and mode chord interchange.The work is finally presented depending on the modern music producing technology as well as the related theories on socialization electronic music concerning the audio processing method and acoustics organization structure.This is a tentative "fusion and creation" with traditional material and modern form.The intention of the work is not only an attempt which produce a work of New Age Music under the theoretical guidance,but also a tentative attempt to rescue the culture in danger of dying.Meanwhile,it has certain reference value for the renaissance of folk songs in China. |
