Discuss The Realism Movie Motif From The Screenplay "Blind"

Realism film originated at the beginning of the twentieth century in Europe.From the earliest Chaplin's Comedy films,the British record film movement and the French New Wave in 1960 s to the Italian neorealism,which had the greatest impact on the future generations,realism had been focusing on the social reality,showing the contradictions from nature,society with people and their self-inner.My screenplay "Blind" tells the story about a 19-year-old girl who dropped out of school learns to pick up the fragments of life and dreams,and effort to live with finding herself after losing her material and spiritual support.This play is not a commercial high-concept script,but a minor cinema and art film,which not only pay attention to show the social reality of the lower class figures and their daily life.,but also with the author's own personal memories.In this work,I refer to some Asian realism art films,European surrealist films and poem films,with the use of linear narrative techniques,slow pace of narrative and paying attention to use the characters psychology to promote narrative.In the details,I set up some bright plots,using flashback to disrupt the narrative time and space,supplementing the pre-history of story and characters,using metaphor and so on.This thesis focuses on elaborating the meaning of the title,the background of the creation,the narration of the story,the characters analysis and so on,about the creation of the script,from the perspective of film writers' work,to show the storyline and conception of this story.The author also analyzes the parent stories from the background of the times,the narration of the emotions,the construction of the cold tone and the philosophical expression of the characters spiritual world with some correlation film theories.Finally,the author analyzes the problems in the process of creation and indicate the direction of future efforts.
