In society, people always categorized themselves into different groups. Having different group identity, they always behave different. Resent years, researchers pay more attentions to identity fusion and pro-group behaviors. However, there is very few studies on identity fusion in China. Based on findings and theories of researches, this study explored the relationship between identity fusion and pro-group behaviors(including self-sacrifice and cooperation behavior). It also tested the mediation model of agency and invulnerability.Participants were sampled from universities in Shandong Province (N=378 ,M=20.57,SD=1.54). First, this study applied the pictorial scale and verbal scale to assess participants, identity fusion. Second. research applied the Trolley Dilemma to explore participants' pro-group behavior and the Public Goods Game (PGG) to explore their cooperation behavior towards their ingroup, then test the prediction effect of identity fusion to pro-group behavior and cooperation. Finally, this study explored the mediating effect of agency and invulnerability. Results showed that:1. Identity fusion is the most important factor to extreme pro-group behaviors(including self-sacrifice and cooperation behavior). People with high identity fusion incline to behave more self-sacrifice and cooperation behaviors to their group.2. Agency and invulnerability mediated identity fusion and self-sacrifice.3. Agency and invulnerability also mediated identity fusion and cooperation behavior. These findings proved the opinions of identity fusion theory and society identity theory. It means that participants' identity fusion can significantly influence their willing to fight and die for their group. They would be glad to cooperate with our group members and behave on the behalf of their own group.
