The Study Of "narrative Nature" In Video Art

With the development of science and technology,the emergence of new media makes artists owning more artistic expressing methods.There is also a diversified era of art.The creative techniques of art gradually transform from easel painting,sculpture and such traditional medias into the integrated materials,devices,photography,video,digital images,electronic interaction and other aspects of expanding.And Moving Image has become one of the choices of so many creative methods.It has developed till now,and whether it is the pioneer of experimental film period,or the Moving Image period with vigorous development,or the new media art and interaction art nowadays,these are all the medias and methods for artists to express their ideas.Through the summary of predecessors' research,we can find that there is an obvious trend between the relationship of Moving Image and the films,which is the transformation of the system.The most obvious phenomenon is that the exhibitions related to films has entered the museum,and the artists has started to shoot the films with long story and entered the general film industry system.These phenomenon are established except the long-term collected aesthetics and the evolution of theory.In order to reveal the intricate relationship between these two fields,we should examine the contemporary dynamic video production in a more macroscopical view to study the evolution of aesthetics and theories.In order to achieve this goal,this thesis will examine the relationship between Moving Image and films through "narrates".On the one hand,the contradictions and conflicts between narrates and Moving Image works will be re-examined by this framework.And on the other hand,we are trying to use different methods to analyze the more and more dynamic Moving Image with the creative strategy of "narrates" in recent years.Then further make clear the interweaved,dialectical and even syncretic relationshipbetween the Moving Image works displayed in galleries and the films as the art based onnarrates.
