The Impact Of Imaginary Perspective And Psychological Distance On Behavioral Intentions

There will be some pictures in their mind when people imaging or recalling an event,and it has two perspectives: the first perspective and the third perspective.different people have different perspective about same event.Predecessors' research explain the impact of two kinds of perspective of behavior from processing way,attribution and various aspects.This article discusses imagination perspective and psychological to distance influence behavioral intention from the perspective of Construal Level Theory.The current study hypothesizes that the interaction of visual perspective and psychological distance would affect behavioral intention.Specifically,under the close psychological distance,the behavioral intention of the third perspective is higher than the behavioral intention of the first perspective;Under the psychological distance,the behavioral intention of the first perspective is higher than the behavioral intention of the third perspective.Research from different angles to manipulate psychological distance(space distance,time)and imagination perspective(the first perspective,the third perspective),through two experiments to verify this hypothesis.Study 1 explored the direct effect of visual perspective and psychological distance on behavioral intention.Results confirmed the hypothesis that the interaction of visual perspective and psychological distance significantly affected behavioral intention.Study 2 were designed to explore the mediation effect of feasibility in the relation between the visual perspective by psychological distance interaction and behavioral intention.The results of the study 2 repeatedly confirmed the interactive effect of visual perspective and psychological distance on behavioral intention.The current study revealed the interaction of visual perspective and psychological distance would affect behavioral intention.These results help further understanding study and consumption in the different perspectives and offer theoretical implication as for the relationship between visual perspective and behavior.
