Research On The New Female Image Of Japanese TV Series In Recent Years

This study is based on the feminist theory and the theory of drama creation,according to the four big layers in terms of the new image of women in Japanese drama appeared in recent years,analyze its reasons behind the appearance,image types,creation techniques and practical significance.This paper is composed of the introduction,four chapters and the conclusion.The part of introduction respectively explains the research's background,its significance,and defines the key concept "new women",the object of this research is the female image represented in recent Japanese drama,who simultaneously possess the three character of conscious,confident and independent,which three make this kind of women intrinsically different from the traditional women in the past who are not conscious,not confident and not independent,furthermore clearly separate them from those who are attached themselves to male authority system because of lacking conscious,courage and initiative.The first chapter analyzes the deep reasons of this phenomenon,both from the historical-cultural level and the social-material level;the second chapter classifies these new female images into four categories--according to the properties inside and outside the family – which are the images of marriageable woman,the images of wives,the images of mothers plus the image of career-oriented women outside the field of traditional married family.In the third chapter,the composition structure is systematically analyzed,in the logical clues of background elements,character set and events arrangement,combined with the theories of screenwriters.Finally,combining the feminist theories and communication theories in the fourth chapter,explore the practical significance of the new female image concerning about three angles of discourse power,agenda setting effect and cultivation effect.
