The Essence Of The Novel And The Evolution Of Modern Japanese Novels

The Essence of Novel is the first novel theory in modern Japanese literature,born in the old and new era of alternating,and is the product of Japanese classical literature traditions clashed with Western modern literature.It made clear that novel is art,put forward the novel concept of “take human feelings seriously”,and published some ideas with novel style,made influence to the birth of modern Japanese novel.This paper studies at The Essence of Novel,aims at discriminating the evolution of modern Japanese novels,and then discusses the characteristics and regulars of Japanese literature.This paper is divided into three chapters.The first chapter discusses the Japanese novel which has not been paid attention to under the influence of The Essence of Novel,makes definite the social identity and improves the status of the Japanese literary world.The second chapter discusses Japanese modern novelists made important contribution for consistency of text and style at the background of Japanese Genbunitchi Movement.The third chapter points out the “writing human feelings” is inheritance of “Real” which is one concept of Japanese traditional literature and helps developing out new novels with unique Japanese characteristics.Through the exploration of the evolution of Japanese modern novels,we can draw a conclusion: under the guidance of The Essence of Novel,the development of modern Japanese novels complete a reborn “evolution”.But the core poetics called “Real” has been through.Japanese modern novels inherit and expand the fruitful results of the traditional novels,shine brilliantly in the world.In the unique historical and cultural background of the island,the “artisan” spirit,which is shown in the creation of modern Japanese novels,is worth learning from later generations,and then carry forward essence and national characters of Chinese literature.
