From The "freedom In The Situation" To See The Dislocation Of Sartre's Early Philosophy And Literature

As an important representative of French Existentialism and an influential writer,Sartre created a great number of philosophy,novel and script during his lifetime.As a philosopher and as a writer,Sartre's two identities are always made the connection.But it can be found by comparing his philosophy and literature that they showed different ideas in the context of the "freedom in the situation".The freedom has always been the focus of attention in Sartre's philosophy.From his existentialism,Sartre connected freedom with the existence of human.He believes that the existence of a human is the same as the freedom of a human.But what Sartre really cares about is the problem of human existence,so he is not content to leave the argument of freedom on the ontology-transcendental.But acknowledge the fact that the freedom is in the situation and discuss it.Almost every literary works in Sartre can we see the two themes:freedom and situation,or the two aspects of the same theme,freedom in the situation.This is not only the goal of Sartre's philosophy that how people pursue freedom in situation,but also explored this question through his literature.In Being and Nothingness;Sartre argues that no matter in what situation,freedom can not be denied.All situations are the result of free choice:freedom first gives meaning to various situation and then shape it as a specific situation.What can we see is that although Sartre made massive demonstration about the freedom in the situation in Being and Nothingness,but he ultimately failed to transition his view from ontology to real world experiences because of lack historicity.But when such freedom is fulfilled in specific literary texts,it is presented in a realistic and historical way through the concrete choices of people.Sartre's literature has the realist tendencies.He set a specific situation for the characters that can't be avoided to reveal the limits of the situation the oppression of human.For this reason,Sartre's philosophy and his literature showed different.Then Sartre's philosophy has undergone a greater change.He noted that freedom was impossible because of the lack of reality situation.But from inside,this change has been a manifestation of his literature.In a sense,Sartre's literature played an important role in the change of his thought.Sartre practiced his view of freedom and relieved the inner contradictions through the way of literature intervention.
