On The Setting Method Of Narrative Structure In Script Writing

Film is art of narrative,and the narrative strategy is the integrated power of its narrative.Visual and auditory elements is muscle of film narrative,so film narrative's skeleton is narrative strategy.It organize and coordinate all audio-visual elements according to certain rules,and present whole story in front of the audience.However,how to construct a suitable narrative structure for a specific work,and how to express the meaning of a particular story using its narrative structure,are worthy studies.In this paper,the author discusses the narrative strategy in script from narrative structure,narrative spatiotemporal,image system,cognitive focus,time compression,in the process of screenwriting the Cafe Near Crossing.At first,this paper makes a brief analysis of common narrative structures in film and television works,and chooses a specific narrative structure for script according creative ideas.Then this paper analyzes the importance of narrative spatiotemporal to ideographic,and expounds the characteristics and meaning in this script.Besides,the author builds image system in script,for integrate the style of script and unify this screenwriting.Additionally,this paper describes the chosen of narrative focus,and different narrative focus can help the audience to have different viewing experience.The internal cognitive focus makes audience feel ignorance and weakness of the characters in film;Audience cognitive focus could make audience step out of the cognitive limitations of the characters,and watch behaviors of different characters and events development in different areas in a broader perspective;A suitable usage of external cognitive focus could improve audience's activation,and in this script,external cognitive focus used for a open ending and leave a blank.At last,This paper describes that different techniques of time compression used in different acts.Omitting give film a clear rhythm and a prominent theme,but it also is limited by polysemy of scenes and understanding of audience;Overview could be used to avoid useless details and accelerate the event progress,but it cause monotonous when repeated,so author write stylize scenes to avoid its monotonous.
