The Relationship Between Low Self-control, Parental Internet Parenting Style And Adolescent Network Bias Behavior

With the development of the times,the Internet has penetrated into all aspects of people's lives,the impact of the development of Internet technology on people's lives is also growing.But the Internet also brings negative effects,some scholars believe that the lack of corresponding supervision and management mechanisms,the network environment is confusion(Levinson &Surratt,1999),So that,people in this situation have a higher probability of deviant behaviors(Goulet,2002).Internet deviant behavior is the network users can not adapt to the normal network life,resulting in the violation or even destroy the general rules of network behavior.While the youth as the importance of Internet users,is still in an important period of the formation of the outlook on life and values,more susceptible to novelty,in the virtual world of cyberspace,showing aggressive and deception network deviant behavior.Related research shows that the self control ability of individuals is an important factor affecting the deviant behavior,and environmental factors,family environment is particularly important,the parental rearing patterns on juvenile deviant behavior network will play a protective role(Lin & Wu,2009;Cancan,Hong,2013).Therefore,in this study,we choose the parenting style as a protective factor of individual deviant behavior,and explore the moderating effects of parental rearing behavior.This study use low self-control scale,the Internet parenting styles scale and the Internet deviant behavior questionnaire,to test 560 junior high school students and high school students,all the tools have good reliability and validity,the main conclusions of this study are as follows:1.Generally speaking,the behavior of deviant behavior is not serious,and it is in the middle level.Differences in aggressive behavior,sexual behavior in the gender is significant,boys higher than girls;the main effect of low self-control gender is not significant,the main effect of grade was significant,students of low self-control was significantly lower than that of junior and senior high students;the main effect ofparental control of gender is not significant,the main effect of grade was significant,high parental control the students were significantly higher than those of grade one students;the main effect of gender parents warm significantly,girls scored significantly higher than boys,the main effect of grade was significant,high school parents warm were significantly higher than those of grade one and grade two students.2.Low self-control is positively correlated with the Internet deviant behavior,and the low self-control can significantly predict the dimensions of the Internet deviant behavior.3.Parental control,parental warmth is positively correlated with the he Internet deviant behavior,and parental control and parental warmth could significantly predict the different dimensions of Internet deviant behavior.4.Parental control can significantly moderated the relationship between the low self-control and network pornography and cheating behaviors of adolescents,high levels of parental control can significantly weaken the relationship between the low self-control and the Internet pornography,fraud behavior;Parental warmth can significantly moderated the relationship between the low self-control and network radical behaviors of adolescents,high levels of parental warmth can significantly weaken the relationship between the low self-control and the Internet radical behaviors.
