School bullying is a major social problem affecting children and adolescents in all parts of the world.Schoolbullying can occur in school or on the way to or from school.Bully ing involvement in any bullying form can have the serious short-term and long-term effects on students' physicaland mental health.Especially those who are bullied, are more likely to have anxiety, depression and social barriers.This study focuses on the self-esteem and anxiety of the bullying victims. The studyinvestigates the bullying,self-esteem and anxiety of Grade 4-6 pupils,andexplores the relationship between the level of bullying, the level of self - esteem and anxiety.The study also exploresthe effect of psychological intervention on the self-esteem and anxiety of the bullying victim students through a case intervention for a bullying victim in six grade.In this study, the sample comes from two school in Ningbo, city of Zhenjiang province, 878 students from Grade 4-6(aged 9-14, average age is 10) were selected to participate in the survey from A primary school (migrant children's school) and B primary school (rural school).The study tool is the Smith version of the bullying questionnaire revised by Chen Shiping, the "Children's Self-esteem Scale" compiled by Wei Yunhua and the SCARED by Su Lin yan. The data were analyzed and processed by SPSS 17.0. The study also has done a case intervention for a bullying victim in six grade.The main results of this study are as follows:(1)Being bullied is a common problem behavior in primary school Grades 4-6,and there are significant gender differences, while no significant difference between schools and grades.(2)There were significant differences in the level of self - esteem and anxiety between the students who were bullied and the students who were not bullied.(3)Beingbullied is significantly related to anxietyand self-esteem.There was a significant negative correlation between being bullied and the level of self - esteem;there was a significant positive correlation between being bullied and the level of anxiety;there was a significant negative correlation between self - esteem level and anxiety level.(4)After the case intervention, the bullying victim's level of self-esteem has increased,the level of anxiety has been reduced, and the situation of bullying has been reduced.It can be concluded that the phenomenon of being bullied in primary schools is universal, which affects the level of self-esteem and anxiety of the students. It can reduce the bullying and reduce the psychological impact of bullying through case intervention.
