Campus bullying is the focus of academic and social circles at home and abroad.In a campus environment that affects adolescent growth,campus bullying is widespread,with immediate and long-term negative consequences for victims.Campus bullying is not only significantly associated with low levels of optimism,self-esteem,individual well-being,and life satisfaction,but also causes high levels of social anxiety and depression in the victim,and is therefore urgently needed for research and prevention.In order to provide assistance to junior college students’ actual psychological needs,the study combines campus bullying with mental health(subjective well-being,social anxiety,depression)to examine the mechanisms of optimism,self-esteem and coping styles in campus bullying on mental health.A relationship model between the five factors,in order to provide reasonable and effective reference recommendations for improving the mental health of middle school students.Using the research design of multiple time points,the relationship between campus bullying,optimism,self-esteem,positive coping,negative coping and subjective well-being,social anxiety and depression of 361 junior high school students was investigated through questionnaire survey.The results showed that:(1)Campus bullying can significantly predict the negative coping,social anxiety and depression of junior high school students,and can significantly negatively predict the optimism,self-esteem,positive response and subjective well-being of junior high school students.(2)Optimism,self-esteem and positive response negative coping has a partial intermediary role in the impact of campus bullying on subjective well-being;In the multiple mediation model of bullying affecting subjective well-being,self-esteem,positive expectation,positive coping and negative coping in the part of the subjective well-being of speech bullying mediation.(3)Optimism,self-esteem,positive coping,and negative coping have some mediating effects on campus bullying affecting social anxiety;In the multiple mediation model of campus bullying affecting social anxiety,open-mindedness,self-esteem,and negative coping in verbal bullying affecting fear,negative mediation plays a part in mediating role,extreme coping and negative coping have played a part in mediating social avoidance and distress in the context of speech bullying.Active coping and negative coping have played a partial role in social avoidance and distress in the general situation of speech bullying.(4)Optimism Self-esteem,positive coping,and negative coping have played a part in mediating the impact of bullying on campus;Self-esteem plays a part in mediating bullying in school;In the multiple mediation model of bullying affecting depression,self-esteem,positive face,positive coping and negative coping have a partial mediating role in speech bullying affecting depression.This study examined the impact of school bullying on mental health and explored the mediating role of self-esteem,optimism,and coping styles in school bullying affecting mental health.The research results are conducive to strengthening the attention of society,schools and individual students to bullying,helping to alleviate the adverse consequences of school bullying,improving students’ mental health,promoting their physical and mental health,building a harmonious relationship within the campus and promoting long-term social health.Development is of great significance.
