The Study Of Gaohu Accompaniment In Huangmei Opera

Huangmei opera, together with Beijing opera, Shaoxing opera, Pingju opera and Yu opera is five main types of opera in China, which is also the main locally opera in Anhui province.In 2006, with the approval of the State Council, Huangmei opera was placed in the list of the state-level intangible cultural heritage .Gaohu, known as main accompaniment of musical instrument, is an important part of music for voices and of great concern for a successful opera show. Therefore, the comprehensive research into accompaniment art with Gaohu contributes to our further understanding of the way of playing and the performing style of Huangmei opera.This thesis focuses on several parts in logical order. There are: the history of Gaohu, the introduction to transition and a way of singing with more aria in Huangmei opera as well as artistic recreation. Also, the reporter makes analysis and research from the perspective of the player of Gaohu and also the future development of art. The reporter offers statement about current situation and vision of future of Gaohu as supports to her argument.This thesis consists of three major parts.In the first part, Historical position of Gaohu in Huangmei Opera, the reporter introduces the origin of Huangmei opera and the accompaniment of Huangmei opera at the very beginning. And the reporter also explains the reason of Gaohu being the main accompaniment of musical instrument by the introduction to a historical phenomenon—????(shows comprise of both Jing opera and Hui opera.)In the second part, the accompaniment art with Gaohu in Huangmei Opera, the reporter summarizes the playing techniques of Gaohu. At the same time, She introduces the transition and a singing style of more aria as well as the recreation of playing in detail.In the last part, the status analysis of accompany with Gaohu, the reporter focuses on the player as to their positions in the band, how they improve themselves and technique inheritance. In addition, the reporter comes up with several problems hindering Huangmei opera from further development and also putting forward personal ideas.
