Research On Xiangxi Tujia Culture Promotion Project

Picture book as a form of modern books,for most people,it is certainly not unfamiliar.In today's accelerating pace of life,people have growing demands on reading picture books.The book plays a role of culture transmission.While picture book is mainly based on painting and supplemented by text,which has a special role in culture transmission.However,with the introduction of a large number of picture books of western countries and Japan into the domestic picture books,China's local picture stories are very few.The crudely made“animation”in the domestic picture book market,blind imitation and introduction cause our country's picture book to lose the local original style.Our ancestors have left numerous splendid cultural treasures,and the national spirit has been inherited and consolidated in the accumulation of traditional culture.Therefore,the traditional national culture can not be ignored,it is very instructive value for the design of picture books.Integrating the Chinese native culture into picture books will present humanistic feelings,rhyme characteristics,traditional festivals,traditional art,places of historic interest and scenic beauty,which allows readers to make the national culture be deeply rooted in the heart when reading picture books and promotes the heritage and development of the essence of national culture.In addition,in the design of picture books,the content of the picture book of course plays a decisive role,but the design of picture books is also an important part of the overall design.A good picture book not only should have a thought.provoking story,but also should pay attention to the overall design layout,material,binding and a series of overall designs of books,making people feel the mobility and interactivity of picture books from content to form.Therefore,how to create a picture book with local characteristics and strong integrity in the design process is a question worth of considering.This paper takes Tujia ethnic minority of Xiangxi Hunan Province as the study object,analyzes and summarizes the characteristics of Tujia culture in worship,festivals,food,architecture,art and other aspects.Integrating into the design of picture books to create picture book works with ethnic characteristics.Through the analysis of the category,content,style,emotion and other aspects,the paper finds out the common features with modern design from of features of picture form and apply it in the binding of picture books.What's more,creating by by using different materials to present all aspects of Tujia culture which makes picture book become more interesting at the same time of inheriting ethnic culture,makes readers feel the unique charm of Tujia culture so as to arouse more people to pay attention to ethnic culture.
