Since 2010,the domestic film market has sprung up a batch of medium and small-budget homemade film that can count as box office "dark horses" and aroused widespread concern.Despite the fact that solid development state of these films has not yet been formed,they can be roughly categorized into five types according to its development situation and manifestation characteristics.First and foremost,the "small is the new big" type of films;second,the films triggering topics and extensive controversies;third,the kind of films with a word of mouth not proportional to box office;in addition,those films closely related to the development of modern new media;last but not least,those produced under the direction of transboundary celebrity or new generation of director.As for whether a certain domestic film can be included in this phenomenon,experts and scholars actually have a tacit understanding.But nowadays it seems that this pluralistic phenomenon still lacks highly precise and community-recognized theoretical generalization and explanation.Base on the literature research,the paper temporarily name the wave of films as "The Phenomenon Film".The paper involves an exploration of the pluralistic phenomenon,which can be divided into four sections.To start with,the paper unfolds itself with the definition of relevant phenomenon from the perspectives of theoretical basis of historiography and specific manifestation characteristics,followed with the through analysis of the profound impact induced by the phenomenon of film cultural tradition.Subsequently,the cause and outward manifestation of "The Phenomenon Film" is dissected from the dimensions of aesthetics,culture and business.In terms of aesthetics,the evolution of social aesthetic psychology is a vital factor of the advent of the phenomenon,while the social aesthetic psychology reacts upon the "The Phenomenon Film",and makes televised narrative aesthetic features the unique identifiers of the phenomenon,and reflect distinctive narrative aesthetic aroma.From the dimension of culture,the upsurge of "The Phenomenon Film" blockbusters is bound inextricably with the prevailing mass culture,while getting people to pay unprecedented attention to the modern and contemporary youth culture and the development of network literature.Meanwhile conversely,"The Phenomenon Film" is endowed with strong mass culture,youth subculture and postmodern cultural characteristics.From the business perspective,"The Phenomenon Film" is the resulted from the evolution of market concept and the notion of foreign film types,leading to its being influenced by the tradition of Hollywood genre film and the commercialized transformation of mainland film market.The achievements involving the typification exploration of "The Phenomenon Film" and business operation are worthy of attention and affirmation,whose positive significance to the industrialized development of the domestic film cannot be ignored.Ultimately,at the conclusion part of the paper,it presents a necessary summary about the phenomenon and raises the bold prediction of the development trend that under the influence of "The Phenomenon Film",large and small and medium-budget homemade films are expected to join hands for mutual advancement.
