Since decades of years from the new century,Chinese films have been developing rapidly,new directors rise suddenly and the ticket price of Chinese film market has broken up the thirty billion record,which seemingly says that Chinese films could challenge the Hollywood.More and more low-cost films were shown on the screen and they created hundred millions or billions of ticket price.And this phenomenon triggered a positive feedback in audience and it is a miracle of creation and production in Chinese films.However,films attracting large audience but criticized can be found everywhere.And the sharp contrast between public assessment and price miracle occurred to some films.There should be some elements behind this extreme phenomenon,which deserves our study.This phenomenon not only reflects the film itself,but also discloses some status of the current society and culture.Therefore,it seems to be especially significant to do a research on Chinese-phenomenon films sincethe new century.In regard to the changing film context,new directors constantly subvert and break the previous film categories and context models.They illustrate the film culture from visual feelings and entertainment consumption.And they reconstruct the previous film concept and culture to make the film satisfy audience's demand of multi-culture.Just as Louis Pierre Althusser said: “Ideology is the reccurrence of the imaginary relation between the individual and the real survival status.” therefore,a context analysis of films regarded as the spiritual and cultural carrier from cultural perspective will bring a more objective and appropriate description and explaination of people's material and spiritual features in the current society.Therefore,this paper studies the Chinese-phenomenon film from cultural perspective from the new century and analyzes representative“films with extreme phenomenon” to explore the nature of phenomenon films and to deeply excavate the topic trend,concept dissolution and reconstruction and aethetic change of Chinese phenomenon films since the new century.Based on the analysis of various mechanisms that form the phenomenon films and social and cultural context,referring to new directors' self expression,and under the context of cultural globalizationand Hollywood film's strong culture,this paper gives a study on questions that how Chinese films could find and build themselves and it makes an appropriate conclusion and explaination about the phenomenon film since the new century from cultural perspective.Also,this paper intends to find a good future and gives some suggestions for the “blowout” of Chinese films:firstly,the film criticism system shall be rebuilt keeping pace with times.Secondly,special attentions shall be paid to the continuity and innovation of phenomenon films.
