'Jasmine' is one of the famous and classic folk songs in Chinese culture;it not only just has the beautiful melody but also contains long history.It was seen as a treasure of Chinese folk songs.In nowadays,it becomes 'Chinese music symbol'.As early at the Ming and Qing Dynasties,the predecessor of 'Jasmine' has been already very popular and even spread overseas.Therefore,a number of musicians adapted and created this music for many times.In this paper,it will use the comparative analysis method as the main research method to compare the two folk songs that have the similar melody.One is 'Jasmine piano solo' which produced by Mr.Wanghua Chu,another one is the 'Practice song Op.25 No.3' which produced by Alansiji.The main parts of this paper consists of four chapters:The introduction part mainly explains the purpose of the topic,the research status and the author's perspectives.From the academic value and practical sense of this topic,as a traditional Chinese folk song from Ming and Qing Dynasties,now it becomes a famous music in today's world,'Jasmine' does showed its ultimate academic appeal to the audience.The first chapter is the introduction and overviews of the two composers who came from different nationalities and times.By knowing more about their different experience,we can get a better understanding to continue the subsequent study.The second chapter mainly explains the use of Jiangsu folk song 'Jasmine' in the two piano works.Throng the comparison of the two songs' style,the theme melody and the tone adjustment,it makes more clear to know how Chinese folk song exists in the piano works.The third chapter is the comparison of the performance of these two piano works,the two songs will be played and analyzed separately in order to help the player grasp the different music style more accurately.In this way,it will have a better explanations of Chines characteristics of the piano works during the teaching and future performance.The fourth chapter is the significance of the comparison study by discussing the impact from Chinese piano music to extend the whole national music culture development.Through the comparative study,I hope we can recognize the Chinese national music.And our obligation is to inherit the Chinese national music and carry forward it to the whole world.We hope people all over the world can understand Chinese music and also recognize the diversity of the world music culture better.
