Xu Zhizhi's Poetry Research

Jizhi Xu experienced four dynasties of Emperor Gaozong,Xiaozong,Guangzong and Ningzong,both as an official and literati.In politics,his career is successful,working as the Vice Minister.But he was also disfigured because of flattering things to Tuozhou Han.Literature,he highly praised fresh style of Wanli Yang's poetry,gathered poetry with fellow friends,opened up the road for the prosperity of Yongjia four spirit,made contribution to the development of the Southern Song Dynasty poetry.Therefore,under the promotion of these two identities,Xu's poetry creation has its own unique features.There are more than one thousand poems in the book of "She Zhai Ji".The author based his career track,combined the classification and characteristics,strived to eliminate the dust and explore the artistic value of Xu's poetry.The main part of this paper consists of four chapters.The first chapter discusses Xu's life,travels and the relationship with Tuozhou Han.Although there is no support of large prominent family,Xu had lived through four dynasties,enjoying a certain reputation in both poetry and politics.The special background and travels lead to the ups and down of his career and the changes of poetry style,making profound influence on his growth.The second and third chapter makes the classification of poetry theme,discussing the people's livelihood and sociocultural.The poet never stopped writing poetry,which were rich in number,variety and contained everything,showing his perception and attitude of life.The fourth chapter discusses the art characteristics of Xu's poetry.According to the origin of poetry and background of era,with the increasing of the experience and the constantly changing of mentality,the poet's works showed distinctive artistic charm.Xu's poetry not only injected fresh blood for the resurgence of poetry,but also made the excellent works of Jin poetry a good role in the Southern Song dynasty.In conclusion,Xu's poetry has not got enough attention and objective evaluation,whether it is from the ideology or style characteristics.Therefore,this paper can enrich the case study of the Southern Song Dynasty poet from studying Xu's poetry.
