Research On The Commentary Words Of The Novels Of The Six Dynasties

In the history of development of Chinese language, Six Dynasties, including Wei(魏),Jin(晋),Song(宋),Qi(齐),Liang(梁),Chen(陈)is of great importance which formed a link between ancient times and middle ancient times. Social upheaval were reflected in the lexis of this period.Novel on people in Six Dynasties is a collection of people, symbolized the situation of the language of this period for its rich colloquial characters. On the basis of research of forebears, the paper mainly chooses seven novels on people as the language materials. It sets an object of studying on words of appraise people and described the state of the words in those days, as well as classifies those words by their semantic and context meanings, combinations and structures, regards different meanings of monosyllabic words in different situations, reasons and ways of forminig disyllabic words, their origin and development. Some lexis in these stories have neither been discovered in previous literature nor explained in several present dictionaries like the Grand Chinese Dictionary. It can offer earlier examples and revise interpretation for dictionaries.The paper tries to make an overal and thorough in investigations by means of classification, data statistics etc. to know the collocation of words of appraise people,syllables and grammar of lexis, synonyms and antonyms in these novels on people. In this way, we can speculate the ideal personality at that time. In these novels on people,the expression of appraising people is distinctive and charming. Comparison and contrast, metaphor and tease reflects the wisdom of intellectuals and active language environment in that period.Due to the monogrphic study of this topic is blank at present, this study aims at not only providing convenience to the research in the history of Chinese language, but also causing researchers pay attention to abundant words of appraising people in these novels.
