Prosocial behavior is a kind of behavior that is widespread in social life, and this kind of behavior is beneficial to others and society. In real life, people often encounter help situations. In general, different people will have different reactions. Previous studies have focused on the impact of individual characteristics on prosocial behavior. The rise of social class psychology, provides a new perspective for the study of pro-social behavior. In recent years, more and more researchers have studied this, but concluded that inconsistent conclusions, some researchers believe that the higher social class will show more prosocial behavior, as well as researchers believe that social groups with relatively low social class will show more prosocial behavior. These studies are basically concluded in the context of western culture. In the background of chinese culture, there is not much research on the relationship between social class and prosocial behavior. In the background of chinese culture, what is the difference in the performance of the prosocial behavior between different social classes? At the same time, we combined with previous studies, put forward the sense of abundance, we believe that the psychology experience of contentment with which individuals' material wealth, family and interpersonal relationship will affect their prosocial behavior. Therefore, we designed two studies to explore the differences in prosocial behavior between different social class and the impact of abundance on prosocial behavior in the context of chinese culture. In order to explore the differences in the pro-social behavior of individuals from different social class under different prime of abundance, a 2 (social class: high vs low)×3 (prime: abundance vs discontent vs control group) between-subjects design is carried out. The results show that: the main effect of the social class is significant, and the low class shows more prosocial behavior than the high class; the main effect of the prime of abundance is significant, the individual who was primed the sense of abundance is higher in prosocial behavior than the discontent priming and control group; The interaction between social class and different priming conditions is not significant. In the second study, we used a different way of priming to explore the differences in the prosocial behavior of individuals in different social class under the conditions of different abundance. A 2 (social class: high vs low)×2 (prime: abundance vs control group) between-subjects design is carried out. The results show that: the main effect of the social class is significant, and the low class shows more prosocial behavior than the high class; the main effect of the prime of abundance is significant, the individual who was primed the sense of abundance is higher in prosocial behavior than the control group; The interaction between social class and different priming conditions is significant,in the abundance priming group, the low class shows more prosocial behavior than the high class; There was no significant difference in the level of prosocial behavior among the different groups in the control group. In general, there are differences in prosocial behavior between social classes, both ways of the prime of sense of abundance are effective, the priming of abundance has an important impact on prosocial behavior of individuals.
