As a main founder of the People's Republic of China,Mao Zedong is a great politician,thinker and strategist. His legendary life experience and thought have a profound influence on the Chinese people. Until today, whether in China's political,economic and cultural fields or in the people's ethical orientation and values, Mao's imprint has been retained. Therefore,understanding and evaluating Mao Zedong and his thought correctly,and further elucidating the unique content in his thoughts, are not only of theoretical value, but also of great historical and realistic significance.Mao's early ethical thought is an important part of Mao Zedong thought, and it is summarized from process of continuous learning and leading with other thought absorbed dialectically. In the first part of this thesis background and theoritcal source of Mao's ethic thought based on his growth history including social politics, culture circumstances and experience of working and studying are discussed.In the second part Mao's early ethic thought from his books and other scholars' thought are extracted to induct his unique system of ethic thought and moral, then do research on the content. Throughout the development of his ethical thought in his early days, we can see the obvious signs of changing from subjective moral law to the altruism theory and then to solipsism, from individualism in spirit to realism clearly. These changes show the great tension and energy of Mao Zedong's ethical thought. In the last part Mao's early ethic thought is summarized and commented on. For history circumstances and other restraints, Mao's early ethic thought inevitably has historical limitation and profound lessons are learned, but in general his early ethical ideas are unique and systemic, reflecting that he inherited Chinese traditional ethic culture and Marxist ethics. The value of Mao Zedong's early ethics thought should be practically assessed and should not be subject to wrong interpretation. Through the study of the essence of his ethics thought in early days, valuable experience and lessons can be provided to modem society ethics order construction.
