“Arts and crafts” is an inevitable element in the development history of Tibetan art.With the changes of history,Tibetan arts and crafts experienced continuous development and evolution.In the period of dga-ldan-pho-brang,which is an important development stage of Tibetan arts and crafts,it's development entered its mature stage.Arts and crafts,which is an inevitable element in Tibetans' life,demonstrates strong nationality color and spiritual pursuit and thus becomes to a carrier of their spiritual culture and material culture.Meanwhile,it is also the most figurative and cogent research object to analyze Tibetans' production and living way and their aesthetic culture.By the classification of ancients materials,archaeological survey report,image materials and travel notes in the period of dga-ldan-pho-brang,the basis of studying temporal arts and crafts are being established,thus,its development process of that time are shown to us clearly.In addition,from perspectives of horizontal and vertical views and time and space,this paper analyzes the approach how arts and regional culture learn from each other.Thereinto this paper emphasizes on the discussion and analysis of the arts types,evolution and aesthetic characteristics of Tibetan arts and crafts in the period of dga-ldan-pho-brang.This paper mainly discusses from the following three aspects:First,this paper reviews temporal background of Tibet and central region in the period of dga-ldan-pho-brang by chronological order to restore temporal historical situation.Meanwhile,this paper concludes the social background of the development of temporal historical state including aspects of technology,guild system and economics.In terms of space,this paper gives a horizontal analysis of the social background of the development of Tibetan arts and crafts in the period of dga-ldan-pho-brang.In addition,this paper classifies those abundant and variousTibetan arts and crafts including clothing,metal casting,knitting and carving.Besides,this paper also analyzes the evolution of Tibetan arts and crafts in the period of dga-ldan-pho-brang.Further,combing with the situation that at that time Tibetan communicated with surrounding countries and region closely,this paper analyzes the progress in aspects of manufacturing materials,design patterns and technical skills by using aesthetic theory.Then,this paper describes a wide range of development and aesthetic features of the arts and crafts in the period of dga-ldan-pho-brang.On one hand,this paper puts forward the religious characteristic of Tibet,the impact foreign culture had on local culture and the analysis of its reflection on arts and crafts.On the other hand,through studying the Tibetan arts and crafts in the period of dga-ldan-pho-brang,this paper reveals Tibetans' attitude that they discarded the dross and selected the essence of foreign culture.Meanwhile,combing with the features of the Tibetan arts and crafts in the period of dga-ldan-pho-brang,this paper analyzes Tibetans' aesthetic features which takes arts and crafts that was formed by cultural reference,influence of religion and Tibetan Buddhism together as a carrier.At last,by knowing about the development and evolution situation of the Tibetan arts and crafts in the period of dga-ldan-pho-brang and combining policies of ‘intangible cultural heritage protection' and ‘spirit of the craftsman',this paper calls on the academic field to make more research on period arts and crafts.
