Perspective Tradition And Face The Reality

This paper tries to put the research of Lu Xun’s Old Tales Retold in the context of Lu Xun’s fiction writings,and find out the common thoughts of Old Tales Retold and wandering and explore the uniqueness.The first part talks about the thought and conception commonality of Old Tales Retold and Calls to Arms and Wandering.In the Old Tales Retold,he still insisted on crying in the Iron House,adhered to personal ideological uniqueness commitment,and expressed the spirit of against despair.All of this inevitably lead to the continuity of Old Tales Retold and the latter two.The second part tries to analyze the spiritual essence they shared.It is believed that the primary concern of Lu Xun for the individual value is the enlightenment of life,national and cultural.The individualism and humanitarianism of Calls to Arms and Wandering are still been strengthened in Old Tales Retold.Both of the lasting suspicion to historical evolution and the theory of historicism are the main spiritual context.The third part discusses the development of the narrative and ideological uniqueness of the Old Tales Retold.The significance of Old Tales Retold comes from the lasting attention of individual life and personality of the author,especially from the influence of Marxist ideology,world literature and so on.This paper tries to make a systematic discussion on the connection and difference between Old Tales Retold and Calls to Arms and Wandering.The latter two concerned the reality,and Old Tales Retold focused on traditional culture.Based on traditional themes and realistic themes,Lu Xun’s novels always think our realistic life deeply.
