Known as the "Saint of poetry" Tagore and being regarded as a "prophet" of Martin Buber, formed two reputation to a certain extent reflects the modern and traditional encounters, influenced by the traditional ethnic culture of intellectuals in what identity response times and historical challenges. In Martin Buber's "I-You" contains corresponds to Tagore's "Gitanjali": "I-You" contains for interpretation of "Gitanjali"'s “I-You” "I – It" relationship."I-You" and "I-It" not only as a philosophical concept of two groups in opposition to each other, and can then go as the meaning of text comprehension and study space in poetry creation and image structure of key.In this paper the use of Martin Buber "I-You" and "I-It" concept of "Gitanjali analysis at the same time, also give full consideration to the need for a close reading of the text;at the same time I would reinterpret “Gitanjali”by Gadamer and Paul Ricoeur's Hermeneutics in the postmodern context. This paper will first discuss "I-You" and "intertextuality Gitanjali" for the interpretation of the text to explore the direction of production and "Gitanjali" image of the poet of this particular text can be written;then, will focus on the analysis of three ways of combination of images in self referential structure :song-Singer,dual dimension structure:travelers-waiting,and parallel structure : Child image as a axis of Valentine-Begger and King-You.On this basis,I would through the perspective from the "I-you" and "I-It" relationship and the notion of "otherness",to examine and select "Gitanjali" image in the new image group. In the postmodern context,I would reinterpret "Gitanjali" 's existing in the conflict between "Grand Narrative" and the postmodern context.
