The survey in this study was made in Nayong County,Bijie City,Guizhou Province,in the northwest of Guizhou Province and south of Bijie City. There are 22 ethnic minorities in Nayong County, and the Miao population accounting for 12.9%.Ethnic minorities account for 91% of the total religious believers, among which the Miao nationality accounts for 76%,the Yi nationality for 13%,the Han nationality for 9%,and the Bai nationality for 2%,so the Miao nationality accounts for the majority. This paper analyzed the influence of Christian faith on the implementation of national laws and customary laws using legal anthropology with three Miao villages in Nayong County,Guizhou Province as the survey spots.Through looking for relevant historical information, the history of spreading and development of Christianity in Nayong County was understood.Christianity was introduced to Guizhou in 1877 and to Nayong County in 1900-1903.“ According to the available information, there are 5774 Christian believers,21 Christian churches and53 activity places in Nayong County.”3Through the qualitative research method4,the research report was written. The qualitative research method refers to the in-depth study of the object by means of on-the-spot investigation, interview, participation and non participant observation, case study and literature analysis and other methods. This paper adopted the cultural anthropology, written the qualitative research report to represent the views and dialogues of interviewee and described the research results from their perspective, and verified the view in this paper via the survey results.Cultural anthropology research is different from urban sociology research, the latter of which generally uses quantitative analysis, namely the data table analysis, but the former of which generally uses qualitative analysis.Through the field investigation, the field investigation was conducted for the three villages to obtain the first-hand materials. The horizontal comparison method was used to compare the villages with and without believe in Christianity;the vertical comparison method was used to summarize the historical literature of the Miao villages with believe in Christianity to understand the influences of Christianity on such villages. In the first chapter, the basic situation of the research site is introduced and the general investigation process is described. The second and third chapters of the paper are found through investigation,Christianity has had a positive effect on national law and customary law in the implementation of theChristian Miao village. The rights of Constitution can be realized in believers more easily, such as the labor rights and the right to education. The obligations of Constitution can be implemented better, such as the observance and maintenance of the Constitution and law, national unity consciousness, the implementation of property law in civil law, legal title of the believer’s compliance, and the believer’s compliance with the contract law.In terms of implementation of executive law,the believers can comply better with the family planning law and religious affair regulations based on religious beliefs;the criminal law is well adhered in the villages with believe in Christianity, influenced by the Ten commandments of Christianity;the compliance of procedural law is also positively influenced by the procedural doctrine of Christianity.Christian faith also changes the original customary law of the Miao villages with believe in Christianity, for example, the change of the traditional object of belief, the abolition of the wizard system, positive impact on abstinence, the diversification of village management organization, the reduction in the marriage dowry and the abolition of some of the traditional marriage system. The fourth chapter is the inspiration of the research, ourcountry has transplanted and studied the western legal system, but there is a certain gap between the present legal condition of China and the rule of law in the West. Some scholars believe that this is because China’s lack of Christian culture, and the emergence and development of Western rule of law cannot do without the Christian culture.Whether Christianity culture has implications for the construction of rule of law in China and the implementation of national law in our country? Based on the investigation of three Miao villages in Nayong County of Bijie city in Guizhou Province,it is found that the Christian faith has some positive impact on the implementation of the state law and the customary law in the religious Miao Village. In this process, unique law-abiding psychology, organization and institution of the religious Miao village are formed. The author puts forward some thoughts on the law abiding psychology, organization and system. The first is about the impact of law-abiding psychology of religious Miao villagers on the implementation of the law.The second is the impact of the church organization of the religious Miao village on the implementation of the law.The third is about the impact of non-governmental systems of the religious Miao village on the implementation of the law.The shortcomings of the paper, the Miao nationality did not have its own character at first, and the Miao script afterwards was not universal,so the available historical literature is limited. Moreover, the distribution of the Miao population in China is uneven,so this survey does not cover all the Miao nationality with believe in Christianity, which is expected to be supplemented in the future study.
