As one of the most famous writers with great reputation in the new period of Chinese literature, Wang Zengqi embodied his uniqueness in many aspects particularly as follows: first, plot weakening and local flavor are used to paraphrase what he thought about the truth and the harmonies thoroughly. Secondly, he ingeniously took advantages of the western literary theories to create a new method that embodied typical Chinese features. Furthermore, Wang Zengqi managed to have his own theory, known as "prose-form novels", proved either inner or outside of the modern literary theory. All the above was gained through his unique choice of focalization and the controlling of narrative speed. As far as the way of his aesthetic pursuit is concerned, we can owe great to his miracle life experience, what he absorbed from the traditional thoughts and western modern literary theories. What he had learned from the former writers also contributed greatly to his great success. In a word, Wang Zengqi strengthened a lot on the way he described the existence of common people. We generally regard that as a powerful swash against the traditional belief in the literary world.
