As one of the four skills of training—— "listening,speaking,reading and writing",listening teaching become an independent course and plays an important role in teaching of Chinese as a foreign language since1970 s.However,with the limitation of form,the listening teaching is generally considered to be a " boring" and "difficult" class,especially the intermediate listening teaching.According to the survey,the current intermediate listening teaching mode is too single,which makes students very prone to fatigue and anxiety,whose learning enthusiasm decreased,even become more and more passive.At the same time,many educators see the potential value of game teaching and take it as a new research field of teaching Chinese as a foreign language.This paper conducted a questionnaire on intermediate Chinese learners and Chinese listening teachers in School of Chinese&Central Asia,Xi'an International Studies University.Taking the book Developing Chinese Intermediate Listening Course(Second Edition)as an example,the paper designed several games,and discussed the application of game teaching method in listening teaching.The paper is composed of five chapters.The first part is the introduction,mainly introduces the background and reason of this research,the purpose and significance of the research as well as research objects and methods.The second part mainly introduces the current research results of game teaching methods in teaching Chinese as a foreign language,expounds the main problems and situation which exist in listening course,and then analyzes the necessity and feasibility of implementation of game teaching method in the intermediate listening teaching of Chinese as a foreign language.The third part is the investigation and analysis of 38 students and 5 teachers from School of Chinese & Central Asia,Xi'an International Studies University.The paper investigates learners' attitude to the game teaching and teachers' game teaching experience and feedback,which provides a realistic basis for thedesign of game teaching.The fourth part,based on the book Developing Chinese Intermediate Listening Course(Second Edition),the paper designs several games from two angles of genre and text links,and analyzes the effect of games,and summarizes several problems of using the game teaching method in intermediate listening classes.The fifth part is the conclusion,summarizes the main content of this paper and suggests a prospect.
