Influenced by the politics,economy and culture of the Tang Dynasty,the furnishings made of metal,dominated the Tang Dynasty.Among them,In the cultural relics of Tang Dynasty,the heritage treasures,which is unearthed in He He Jia village located in south suburb of Xi'an,Shanxi province,not only are exquisite in Gold and silver ware of the Tang Dynasty,but also intensively reflect the technique,artistic achievements and spiritual outlook of the Tang Dynasty.As furnishings made of high-end materials,He Jia village gold and silver paid great attention to the combination of practical and aesthetic,including a large number of eating utensils,play objects,ornaments,religious objects and other implements,which are often beautiful and gorgeous.With the long history of Chinese traditional decorative patterns,He Jia village's gold and silver ware is the representative of the Tang Dynasty.It has converged generous decorative patterns,including almost all the popular decorative patterns of the Tang Dynasty,which is outstanding representatives of the history of Chinese ancient decorative arts,and precious records to study the traditional patterns.The decorative pattern art is an important component and main feature in the gold and silver ware of He Jia village,which is also a reflection of national aesthetic ideal and aesthetic taste,revealing colorful of decorative patterns and profound cultural connotation.Like a delicate bond,it continuous to convey and demonstrate its solemn and gorgeous even today.In this paper,we firstly studied the decorative patterns of the gold and silver ware unearthed in the He Jia village from the angles of art theory and traditional design,then analyzed,concluded and studied formal characteristics,types and moral,multicultural and so on,regarding decorative patterns on the gold and silver ware of He Jia village and briefly described its style and craft features at the same time.Secondly,this paper discussed the opportunity and challenge with the development of gold and silver of the Tang Dynasty in depth,including national integration,religious prosperity,the infiltration of civilization from Western Asia and Central Asia,and other foreign civilization factors.Through analyzing the influence from its aesthetic concepts of decorative arts and external factors,we can further elaborate gold and silver's decorative features.Finally,the author explored the application of decorative patterns of He Jia village's gold and silver ware in the contemporary design,through citing design works around our life like representative Baoxiang flower and he roll grass pattern,summarized its application of contemporary design forms of formal language and principal method,and try to apply the the roll grass pattern to the series of packaging design in the harvest brand,looking forward to bring some inspiration to the creation and development of today's art and design.
