Study On The Urban Layout And Planning Ideas Of The Athens City In The Classical Period

In recent years,to explore the ancient western cities and comparative study of Chinese and western city has become a new direction in the research of historical urban geography.It has important significance for the development of historical geography and history for the urban.The classical period of Athens is proud of its thriving business,its culture and democratic political.Athens city as its comprehensive strength has unique charming.In this paper,The author choose two aspects of city layout and planning ideas to interpret the classic period of Athens.Comparing Athens city with Han Chang 'an city to find out why they were completely different,also peeping at the east and west civilization.This passage is divided into five parts:The first part is introduction,it mainly introduce the academic circles at home and abroad for the classical period of Athens(including the city layout and planning ideas,and other related)and Han Chang 'an(mainly planning ideas)the research status and research achievements.And elaborated the significance of the topic and research method,the identification of related concepts in this paper.The second part mainly discusses the classical period urban layout of the city of Athens.Because this period of Athens has two center "Acropolis" and "Agora",the city layout is mainly include these two parts.Firstly,list the body of the buildings on the Acropolis and interpreted;Then list Agora etc under the Acropolis and interpreted;Finally summarizes the classical period city layout characteristics of the city of Athens.The third part mainly discusses the city of Athens city planning thoughts in the classical period.Exploring the classical Athens' geographical environment,politics,economy,culture,and the preceding chapter of city layout.We put the planning idea of the city of Athens summed up as five:freedom and harmonious humanistic,widely strong consciousness of democracy,equality and freedom spirit of the polis,make public significant ethnic identity and orderliness of the aesthetic pursuit of space structure.The fourth part mainly summarized the Han Chang 'an city' s layout and planning ideas.Han Chang 'an mainly constituted by the palace area,commercial,residential,ritual and burial area,etc,it's rule and orderly,has distinct lines.And in different stages of the urban construction planning ideas are different,The early Han dynasty,Huang Lao thought influence;Emperor Han Wu period,city began to large-scale construction;The late Han dynasty,a large number of ritual architectures has built.And still in addition,Feng Shui,imitation of the sky etc planning ideas.The fifth part is the comparison of two cities and reflection.Through the discussion of the previous section,this paper found that the classical period of Athens and Han Chang 'an city are very different.But there is similarity between two cities in evidence,in the process of founding,both sides have to deal with city and nature with the similar attitude,attempt to achieve a harmonious state.But the more is both in the purpose of city construction,city function,effect and applicability is different,and from the natural,economic,political,cultural and other aspects tried to explore the deep reason of these difference.Finally,the author due to the main influencing factors of urban development is geographical environment,economic development,political civilization,religious culture,etc,they made their own style.,from the comparison of the two cities to see the two cities of different civilizations,it helps to understand the differences between ancient Chinese and western civilization from the angle of city.
