Academics On The Economic Attributes Of Classical Athens And Reflection

The research on the economic attributes of the Classical period in Athens is one of theimportant issues in the academic research of the world’s ancient history, and the scholars inthe East and West have created two kinds of arguments. They are "Primitivist" and"Modernist ".This article focuses on reviewing the academic issue generally, and combingthe historical development of the subject, including the background, the stage ofdevelopment, the scholar who makes a significant contribution to solve the problem, theproblems that have not been resolved and so on. Those are just what we try to deal with.The full text divided into two parts: the introduction and the body. The prefaceincludes the origin of the topic, the innovation, the status and prospects of the research, andrelevant literature review.The first chapter aims at the research of the foreign scholars on the economicattributes of the Classical period of Athens, including the “Primitivist”,“Modernist” andthe Soviet historians in this field. We can see this chapter as the background information tohelp us have a better understanding of the basis and situation of domestic discussion.Sowe can say that this is a foreshadowing.The second chapter aims at the discussion of domestic scholars on the economicattributes of the Classical period in Athens. Then the study is carried out in three stagesbased on the significant historical events in China, including the record of Classical periodin Athens economy by the Chinese Advanced Intellectuals and the Western Missionariesin the late Qing Dynasty, the discussion on the economic attributes of the Classical periodin Athens at the period of the republic of China and those after the founding of our state.The third chapter is the reflection on discussion of the economic attributes ofClassical Athens home and abroad. and a general evaluation of the present condition homeand abroad is made.Before and during the Classical period of Athens. Regarding the Springand Autumn Qi economy as a reference system, we analyze the property of the Athenseconomy on the ground of the attitudes of all classes to the”Ben””Mo”. At last my own opinion is put forward on the economic attributes of the Classical period of Athens. Ibelieve that the domestic and international studies of the ancient Greek on economicattributes of the classical period of Athens, expand the historical research, theory andmethods,etc.
