As a hot issue in the academic field,the theory of nation building has been constantly enriched.Based on the history of building Kenya,this paper analyzes the advantages and disadvantages of the nation building in Kenya.Kenya's long-term political stability,relative to the political turmoil at the start of the country's founding,has made the country's nation-building more typical.And Kenya's early nation building is directly related to its long-term development trend.This paper mainly includes the following parts: chapter one,this article explains the background of the early nation building in Kenya.First of all,the connotation of the nation building theory is explained appropriately,and the particularity of Kenya's nation building is pointed out.Second,the population problem is the key of Kenya's history,and this article has introduced Kikuyu,Luo and Kalenjin these three more representative indigenous community in Kenya in here.In the end,this paper also summarizes the history of Kenya in the colonial period,and lays a foundation for the development of Kenya's independence and independence.The second chapter analyzes the main content of the political building in Kenya.Kenya has actively inherited the colonial system from both the legal and administrative aspects,but behind the facade,Kenya has experienced a difficult political localization process.This includes the suppression of regionalism,the improvement of political party politics and the strengthening of centralization.This paper also summarizes the political influence during the reign of Jomo Kenyatta from 1963 to 1978.Finally,the of Kenya's foreign politics,especially the cold war pattern,on Kenya is also analyzed.The third chapter analyzes the economic building in Kenya.Kenya's economic building is based primarily on three movements,namely,the indigenisation movement,the cooperative movement and the Harambe movement.The economic localization movement is the core of the economic building in Kenya.The main content of the economic localization campaign is to carry out land reform,namely,to reclaim the land that was expropriated during the colonial period and redistribute it.There have been mixed reviews of the land reform in Kenya,mainly because of the lack of restrictions on land sales during the redistribution of land and the emergence of a new elite class.The Harambe movement is not just in the economic sphere,but in virtually every aspect of Kenya's nation building,but the Harambe movement is the most successful in the economy.In the fourth chapter,this studies the social building of Kenya from the perspectives of the formation of national identity and the development of social undertakings.In the conclusion part,this paper confirms the nation building of Kenya,and thinks that Kenya's nation building mainly benefits from the top-down and bottom-up cooperation.Although there are also such as political corruption,the gap between rich and poor increase,such problems as ethnic conflict,but in spite of his flaws,Kenya through the nation building,gradually formed a political stability,social development and orderly,with considerable cohesion of modern sovereign state.The study of Kenya's nation building process contributes directly to deepening our understanding of Kenyan social culture and its national conditions.
