The relationship between parents and children has always been a hot topic in society.Contradictions inevitably happen between parents and children in our lives,leading to the discourse of conflict.This paper uses the Principle of Goal Direction to describe and analyze the parent-child conflict discourse in the reality show "Dad,Where Are We Going?".Speech acts are driven by purpose,and the discourse of parent-child conflict is no exception.The conflict between the two sides of the communication leads to the occurrence of conflict discourse.With the interaction of the two parties,the relationship between the two sides also changes.The goal relationship affects the participants’ choices of discourse structures and discourse strategies.This paper focuses on the analysis of the goal relationship,the discourse structures and the discourse strategies of the two parties in the conflict discourse.Based on the Principle of Goal Direction,the analysis of parent-child conflict discourse aims at verifying the applicability of the Principle of Goal Direction to life discourse,and discussing the essence and discourse characteristics of parent-child conflict discourse,so as to reduce or slow down the occurrence of conflict discourse.
