The beauty of bizarreness is unique.Instead of a branch of the Four Beauties,it is more like a combination of them.The pain and sadness may deeply be hidden under the mask while it displays an ugly and funny look to people.The electrifying view above the mask profits from the extraordinary ways of expression of the bizarre aesthetics-alienation and reinforcement.Nevertheless,the contents beneath the mask by virtue of the bizarre presentation require every audience to comprehend carefully.Based on Junji Ito's works as an example,this paper elaborates how the incisive beauty of bizarreness emerges.On the basis of the definitions,aesthetic forms,presenting methods of the bizarre aesthetics,and partial works of certain painters,this paper points out the effects of bizarre aesthetics on emotional appeals and social cognitions.It elicits two values which are imagination and incisive beauty.It is true that imagination exists in any forms of literature and art,whereas the bizarre aesthetics differentiates itself from others in its incisive,reversible,contradictory and unified imagination.Thus,my understanding towards the values of the bizarre aesthetics is that it has the appearance of bizarreness,the core of imagination,the height of rationality and reality,and the status of incisiveness.
