The Chinese classical landscape painting, which is widely considered as the highest form of Chinese painting,is invested with the ideal that man is an integral part of nature. The idyllic aesthetics that conveyed by Chinese classical landscape painting not only reflects the ancient people' s pursuit of society ideals and individual morals, but also is the spiritual sustenance of Confucians, the ingenuousness of Taoists, and the wisdom of Zenists.Ancient artists unfolded their intuitive feeling for the beauty of nature in their landscape paintings, hence these works embodied the Chinese traditional aesthetics spirit perfectly, and had exerted profound and abiding influence on later ages. The status of Chinese landscape painting is unshakable in art history. This thesis is divided into four chapters to discuss the humanistic values and aesthetic values of Chinese classical landscape painting, and its enlightenment to contemporary art.Chapter 1:The idyllic aesthetics of Chinese classical landscape painting.Chapter 2:The cultural origination of idyllic aesthetics.Chapter 3:The connotations of idyllic aesthetics and the comparison between idyllic beauty, quiescence, and magnificence;Chapter 4:The contemporary meanings of idyllic aesthetics, and its enlightenment on the author' s art working.
