Canadian Chinese writer Zhang Ling has drawn more and more attention from the research community and readers in recent years. With her excellent strength and outstanding literary works, she has become a bright star among the new immigrant writers, with Yan Geling and Hong Ying as the troika of overseas Chinese writers. As an immigrant female writer,Zhang Ling has been combining her life experiences with her works. She often portrays women in different historical and temporal situations from the perspective of women and uses unique writing methods to express the awareness of women and convey the inner demands of women. This article will focus on women's writing in Zhang Ling's novels, and mainly adopts the method of textual reading, and based on feminist narrative theory and comparative literature theory. The article will discuss female writing in Zhang Ling's novels. The thesis is divided into five chapters: The first chapter mainly discusses the female images in Zhang Ling's novels, and divides them into three categories: one is the image of Chinese native women under the grand history. The second is the image of Chinese immigrant women in the family and marriage relations. The last is Western female image. As an independent, strong and optimistic woman,Zhang Ling's female image is almost full of positive energy. All of them present a rather positive image. They are all kindhearted, strong and tolerant, and they are shaped with a sense of appreciation. This is not only related to her personality and attitude to Chinese and Western cultures, but also to her own personal experience and creative concept. The second chapter mainly studies the feminine writing style of Zhang Ling, and analyzes from three aspects: structure, perspective and language.Due to her life experiences both at home and abroad,Zhang Ling's novels often present the pictures of interweaving between the past and the present,at home and abroad,in the hometown and in a foreign land, and in an interlaced structure to describe the story. In order to better explore women's inner world,Zhang Ling also adopted a diversified perspective, the choice of narrative language and aesthetic image is also full of feminine color. The third chapter mainly explores the female consciousness in her novels. The fourth chapter mainly discusses the influence of Zhang Ling's personal experience on her female writing, and how the creation reflects this influence.Analyzing their relations is beneficial to better interpreting her female writing. The fifth chapter mainly compares Zhang Ling's novels with female writings in overseas Chinese novels, and takes female writings of Yan Geling's and Hong Ying's novels as examples to excavate the status and significance of Zhang Ling's novels in overseas Chinese literary circles. In Zhang Ling's novels, women are no longer individuals who are oppressed by patriarchal rights and are obscured by history. They have their own pursuit,in some ways even beyond men.Zhang Ling can always think of the relationship between history and women, men and women, women and women as a kind of "main body" female attitude in the perspective of Chinese and Western cultures, pay close attention to the experiences and experiences of women in different cultural backgrounds of different ages,Instead of looking at women in the traditional moral standards, they present the real feelings of women and reflect on the status and ways out of women, all of which embody her humane care for women.
