Moral intervention in this study refers to the prevention of unethical behavior by others. There are many researches on unethical behaviors, but few studies on the intervention of unethical behaviors. When facing unethical behaviors,if individuals can bravely stand up and criticize and correct them that will promote the positive energy of society and promote the harmonious development of society. This study explored different factors and the ways that influence the tendency of moral intervention in three experiments.Study 1investigated guilt, which leads to the moral intervention. In order to explore whether immediate guilt or anticipated guilt can predict the tendency of moral intervention, the first study used questionnaires to set up virtual immoral situations and moral violations to trigger participants' emotions and corresponding responses. At the same time, study also manipulated the relationship between the immoral offenders and the subjects(a family member,or an unfamiliar person),and the level of immorality of the unmoral behaviors. The results of the first study showed that anticipated guilt was a predictor of moral intervention tendencies.Under severely immoral circumstances, the relationship between the immoral offenders and the participant can moderate anticipated guilt and moral intervention.Study 2 presumed that moral responsibility, which resulted in guilt, had an impact on moral interventions. At the same time,it investigated the influence of moral identity and interpersonal closeness on moral responsibility. The results showed responsibility mediated the relationship between interpersonal closeness and tendency of moral intervention.as well as the relationship between moral identity and the tendency of moral intervention.;in a severely immoral context, relationship between the participant and the immoral offender moderated interpersonal closeness and moral responsibility. The data from the second study showed that the subjects often chose 40-year-old family members, but 20-year-old people who were less familiar with as immoral offenders. In the second study, the seniority in the clan and relationship were mixed. Therefore, the third study also examined the influence of the seniority in the clan of immoral offenders. The results of the study showed that: Severe immoral situations amplified the differences in moral responsibility and moral intervention tendency that resulted from interpersonal relationship while reduced the seniority-induced differences in anticipated guilt.
