Tone languages use pitch constrastively at the word level to indicate word meaning.Chinese tone is significant in learning Chinese as a second language.According to the existing literature,it's still deficient in the study data about Chinese tone acquisition of African students.In this paper,according to the existing survey materials and survey experience,it tries to discuss the local students' biased error of acquisition in learning Chinese tone in Botswana University.The features of this paper are using the method of experimental phonetics to create data model and analyze students' biased error of acquisition in learning Chinese tone,combining with the local students' Tswana language background,and giving teachers the targeted teaching suggestions.In addition to the introduction and conclusion,this paper is mainly divided into three parts.Chapter two describes and analyzes the biased error of acquisition in Chinese monosyllabic tone and disyllabic tone of the local students.Firstly,data statistics and type analysis are carried out from the hearing results of the monosyllabic tone experimental sample,and the acoustic analysis of the collected and collated data is carried out,and the local students' Chinese tone pattern is drawn.Secondly,error rate and error type of the local students' disyllabic tone is detailedly described and explained,and the local students' Chinese disyllabic tone pattern is illustrated by the acoustic analysis.Chapter three analyzes the main reasons of local students' Chinese tone biased error,including four aspects: Tswana tone,English intonation for English as a second language in Botwana,the characteristics of target language pronunciation,and the influence from students themselves,teachers,textbooks.Chapter four,according to the research results and causes analysis,this paper gives some suggestions on how to improve the level of the local students' Chinese tone.The proposal is consisted of two parts: teaching advice and student training.
