1949-1978 Study On The Cover Of Foreign Literary Figures

Since the founding of the People's Republic of China and the third plenary session of the eleventh central committee in 1978,China has been a relatively closed and highly ideological period in the international community.The contemporary art history researchpays much attention to the domestic artistic creation situation in this period,and has fewexternal visual culture discussion.On the one hand,foreign literature can focus on China'sacceptance of other countries' ideology and culture.On the other hand,the cover of characters can become a vision political history since new China.In this paper,the cover of foreign literary figures from 1949 to 1978 is analyzed based on the history of translation.And nearly 500 representative book covers are themain research object.Reflecting the book cover of foreign literary figures through themajor political direction,and then,according to the characteristics of the book cover outline the typical characters of the country and race,which are highly stereotyped,typified and symbolized.It use that image analysis of the history of the arts,the visualAngle of cultural study and the sociological method to classify the characters of bookcovers of foreign literature characters by categorizing,comparing and summarizing.Finally,through the study of the cover of foreign literary figures,understand the internaldifferences between the state,the national and cultural systems.In the same period of time,have created a more integrated visual culture system with the domestic art historystudies.
