Research On Contemporary Chinese Peasants' Political Consciousness: Rights Consciousness Or Rule Consciousness

This study originated from the current academic judgment on the farmers' political awareness of the dispute, Perry, Elizabeth believes that the current political consciousness of farmers is a rule of consciousness, and Li Lianjiang believes that the current political awareness of farmers is not only remain in the rule of consciousness stage is also the birth of a sense of right. Based on the above theoretical arguments, this study found that the political consciousness of the current Chinese farmers is a rule consciousness, and the right consciousness is not born on the basis of the rule consciousness.Farmers questioned only to local governments to the central rule as a benchmark to judge the legitimacy of the local government behavior, rationality rather than to the natural rights of natural law in the "theory" as the basis to judge the rationality of rule the country. Farmers' awareness of the rules of the specific formation mechanism is central to keep pace with the times and the guide strategy shaping: according to the state of social resistance with different degree of intervention, intervention and make timely adjustments, thereby affecting the development of farmers' political consciousness,changes and results, to achieve the effective shape of farmers awareness of the rules. When farmers revolt against a specific rule or law of the country, it does not necessarily mean that the struggle against the whole system is based on the natural right, which does not necessarily mean the birth of the consciousness of rights.This paper is divided into five chapters. The first chapter is the introduction, mainly introduces the research background, reviews the research status of peasants' political consciousness, in a clear academic circles on the farmers' political consciousness on the basis for determining the controversial proposed research method; Relationship between the second chapter of rule consciousness and right consciousness concept and their interpretation, based on natural rights theory of consciousness of rights to define and clarify level differences between rule consciousness and right consciousness, to accurately determine the status of peasants' political awareness established the judgment standard; In the third chapter, based on field interviews, from the agricultural tax era to the post agricultural tax era,farmers awareness of the political status of analysis, trying to theoretically further clarification of the academic circles of the peasants' political awareness of the status of the dispute; the fourth chapter of the political awareness of the specific formation mechanism. Please, in-depth analysis of the influencing factors of the effect of peasants' political awareness development, changes; the fifth chapter is the conclusion and further discussion, the main conclusions of this paper and to advance the literature were summarized also pointed out the deficiencies of this paper and further discussion in the future.
