The paper is focused on Moshe Sharett and Israel's foreign policies.Moshe Sharett is an Israel's famous politician and diplomat,he had been Israel's foreign minister and premier for a long time from May in 1948 to June in 1956,he had significant impact on the formulation and implementation of Israel's policies.The paper is divided into three chapters:The first chapter briefly discusses Moshe Sharett's family,education, early political activities and Moshe Sharett's role in establishing Israel foreign ministry. Moshe Sharett was influenced by his parents, he contacted with Zionism when he was a child.When he was in school,he took an active part in the activity of state restoration organized by Jewish students in Palestine,which saved some experiences for his later road to political circle and made him form basic knowledge about Arab-Jewish relationships.Before the founding of Israel,Moshe Sharett had been the director of the Political Department in Jewish Agency,he was in charge of the relationship between Jewish Agency,British Mandatory Government and the Arab countries.After the Palestinian partition plan of UN in 1947,Moshe Sharett began to make project for Israel's Foreign Ministry.After the founding of Israel in 1948,Moshe Sharett played an important role in making Israel's foreign policies.The second chapter mainly states Moshe Sharett and Israel's foreign policies to socialism camp and capitalism camp.In the policies to socialism camp,Sharett seek weapons from Soviet bloc actively and jewish immigrants from Eastern Europe, he dealt with Soviet's property in Israel coldly,and he opposed Soviet's anti-semitism.In the meantime,Sharett paid attention to developing the foreign relationship with People's Republic of China.In the policies to capitalism camp,Sharett seek financial assistant and weapons aid from western countries,besides,he also tried to make special relationship with western countries.During the time,he handled the disputes with western countries duly.The third chapter discusses Moshe Sharett and Israel's foreign policies to Arab countries,besides,it also analysis the influence on Israel's foreign policies after Moshe Sharett left Foreign Office.During the first Middle East war,Sharett made his efforts to seek dialogue with Arab countries.After the war,he adopted a flexible policy to infiltrations from Arab countries.In the policies to Arab countries,Sharett tried to resist force policies taken by radicals in the government headed by Ben-Gurion,but he failed,and he was forced to leave the office. After Sharett left the office,Israel's foreign policy turned to completely tough policy from indistinct policy of sometimes moderate and sometimes tough,but Sharett's moderate policy had influenced the peace process of Middle East.
